The document is the beginning of the process.

An invoice, quotation request or contract usually starts more work. Someone finds the relevant details, checks what is missing, compares information and passes the result to another person or application. The useful automation opportunity is often that whole handoff.

ECH02 builds workflows that bring document processing into the surrounding business process. We begin with the material your team receives and define the information, decisions and actions needed to move it forward.

Start with a recurring piece of work.

  • Invoice processing: make the required information available for the next administrative step.
  • Quotation requests: organize incoming requirements so a team can assess and respond.
  • Contract review: surface relevant terms and questions within a defined review process.
  • Risk analysis: bring material together for the people responsible for evaluating it.

The scope is specific to the task. Extracting a value, checking it against a known record and deciding what to do about it are different steps. We make those distinctions explicit before deciding where AI is useful.

Give each document an owner and a next step.

We design how an incoming document becomes a work item, where it appears and who takes responsibility. A queue can show what is being prepared, waiting for review or needing attention. It can sit in an existing application or a dedicated workspace.

For review, we define which extracted information needs a supporting source reference and which checks must pass. The responsible person should be able to inspect the proposal, correct it and understand the next action. Required fields, permissions and approval rules become explicit parts of the workflow.

Missing information, conflicting values and failed system actions need their own routes. We agree who resolves each exception and what history the item retains. These controls are designed and verified for the particular implementation.

Build on an existing foundation.

Our flow engine, composer and reusable nodes provide a starting point for the process. A shared data model gives the information a consistent structure. We adapt the steps and explicit rules to your documents, responsibilities and review needs.

Your project still needs representative examples, the right system access and a clear definition of the expected result. We identify what can be reused and what requires new mapping, integration or development. That keeps the technical foundation connected to the actual work.

Applied in construction

Our document flow engine is used by a balcony construction company for invoices, quotation requests, contract analysis and risk analysis. This implementation shows the range of document work the engine has been applied to. A new project is scoped around its own documents, responsibilities and destination systems.

Bring a process, a few examples and its owner.

A first conversation is most useful when we can see a typical input, an example of a good result and the steps your team currently takes between them. We will ask how often the work occurs, which exceptions matter and who can confirm that the output is ready for use.

If the next step depends on several applications, the workflow can also involve connecting your business systems. If the team needs a dedicated workspace to handle the process, we can consider a business application as part of the scope.
